Ori and the Blind Forest is both beautiful and exceedingly skillful, a rare feat for modern platformers. The game keeps you on your toes, introducing new mechanics and skills that constantly challenge and reward in surprising ways. The backgrounds are lush and filled with life while the animations are top of the line. Most importantly, the story is superbly told, concluding in an emotionally satisfying manner, avoiding numerous pitfalls that could have degraded the experience as a whole.
Ori and the Blind Forest is a gem, a game that shines all the brighter the more you play it. It is truly the best Platformer of the year.
