Can you stop them from becoming Dead Men?

Just Like the Movies (cntd.)

After getting into a gun fight at the top of the building, in which teamwork must be used to flush the enemies out from behind a helicopter, our anti-heroes must descend the side of the building to the certain floor they are wanting to get at. Once there, an explosive is put onto the window to create a way inside, all the while, there are enemies on the inside scrambling to get ready for your immediate entrance. Once the window blows, an intense gun fight ensues with you having to give orders and take cover as best as possible. The next step is to retrieve/steal a briefcase and exit the front door, but as you might have guessed, there will be many enemies set up to try and stop you from getting your job done. The whole event is an action packed experience that looks to be open ended as to how you can solve the problem of eliminating your targets while continually moving towards the door.

What else can be expected?

This game has several key features that has this previewer very excited. We are told that taking cover is to be very important and this is done simply by finding a suitable spot and pushing forward on the controller. Your character will automatically take cover and be safe as long as the cover holds out through the hail of bullet fire that will surely be coming in your direction. This will result in the need for you to fire blind in your enemy's direction, i.e.; lifting your gun above an overturned desk and firing in the relative position that you are getting shot from. Meanwhile you will have to be directing your men to move to the side to take your enemy out.

The game also features melee attacks when you are too close to an enemy to use your main weapon. You will have to be careful when executing these special moves however, as it will put you out of cover for a few seconds, allowing your opponents to get the drop on you if you are careless.

You will find the in-game map extremely helpful as well. The map will show the current position of all your teammates as well as highlight the object at hand. This will help plan your attacks or defences much better. Speaking of planning, while playing in co-op, the second player will get to play as Lynch and we are told that this will result in a very different game experience. Lynch will not always have the same goals and objectives as Kane does in the game. What effect this will have as the game progresses is still a mystery.

Game of Mystery

Perhaps the most interesting part of the game is that you can only get the information of the back story when you die. Every time you die a flashback will play showing you what events have happened to land you in the spot you are in now, awesome. What will become of the partnership between Kane and Lynch? Will Lynch be able to hold himself together or will he start to go crazy like Jim Carrey in Me, Myself and Irene? Will these two both end up 'dead men' as the title suggests? We'll have to wait until the fall to find out.
