New Resident Evil 6 Details Surface
Capcom has revealed some new details for their upcoming title, Resident Evil 6.
The game will take place in the year 2013 with its location being in China, in a fictional town of Lanshiang. One of the game's protagonists, Chris Redfield, resides there. Redfield, prior to RE6, had some sort of crisis happen to him but decides to re-join the BSAA.
The game will feature three protagonists; Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and a third unnamed character. This unnamed character is said to be “currently engaged in a bloody conflict in Eastern Europe, and rather than think about the consequences and implications, he’s thinking “how money he can make from it.”
Another character, Helena Harper - who appears alongside Leon Kennedy in the game's first trailer, is a government agent who is transitioning to the U.S. Secret Service as one of the president's personal body guards. The president is Adam Benford, he becomes infected and becomes a zombie. Harper admits to being at fault.
Resident Evil 4's Ingrid Hunningan, a Field Operations Support person, returns for RE6. Capcom has confirmed that the zombies in RE6 will be different from game's past. They will run, jump, and even shoot back at you.
A new type of enemy will also be present in the game - the J'avo. The zombie will show human personality traits and will be able to regenerate health. The J'avo will make you question your tactics and rethink your strategies.
Resident Evil 6 is out on November 20 worldwide for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
