Activision Thanks EA For Promoting Modern Warfare 3
There's something to be said for competition...it applies to Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 this fall.
Eric Hirschberg, Activision's CEO, apparently thinks the same way I do, as he is thanking Electronic Arts for promoting his firm's upcoming shooter, Modern Warfare 3.
"Well, I think EA might talk about our games in the press more than we do. So, the first thing I say to them is ‘Thanks for the assistance in building awareness.'"
He's speaking directly about EA's CEO John Riccitiello's belief that Battlefield 3 will finally take down the Call of Duty cog machine. There's a pretty lengthy interview over on MCV with Hirschberg, it's certainly worth the read.
Both Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are out this November for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
