Modern Warfare 3's Engine Is "Beyond" MW2's
Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward bossman, is insisting that Modern Warfare 3's game engine is clearly beyond that of Modern Warfare 2's.
In response to a question on Twitter, he said,
“We haven’t gone into detail on the engine yet but we’ve moved beyond the MW2 engine and added a lot of cool stuff for MW3."
Modern Warfare 2 was powered by the IW Engine, which also powered Call of Duty 2, World at War, and Black Ops. It is not clear what game engine is being used in Modern Warfare 3, but you can see the reveal trailer here.
Modern Warfare 3 is out on November 8 for the PlayStation, Xbox 360, and PC.
