No 'Borderlands 2' On The PS Vita

Gearbox boss man Randy Pitchford recently stated that his studio is too busy to create Borderlands 2 for the PS Vita.

However, he also stated that he would be excited if an outside developer wanted to create the game for the Sony handheld. Speaking at Rezzed, Pitchford stated that he is very intrigued by the possibility of cross play between the PlayStation 3 and the PS Vita.
“One of the things I wish Sony would do is get behind Borderlands, because I’d love to see a Vita version of the game,” he said. “I want to be able to have the character I’m working on with my PS3, and then when I’m on the road with my Vita I can just keep developing that same character because it exists on the cloud somewhere.

“Perhaps some of you folks can convince Sony to start that. We’re too busy to develop it ourselves. But I know there are a lot of talented developers who could take our code, our source and our content and perhaps create something like that.

“That would be exciting to me.”
Indeed, a game as big as Borderlands 2 would be a handheld seller for Sony.
