New Far Cry 3 Details Emerge
Some new Far Cry 3 details have surfaced including the game's protagonist, gameplay, and the game's mission structure.
The details come from the next issue of EDGE Magazine, starting with Far Cry 3's protagonist named "James Brody". The character has been on the island for many years trying to find his kidnapped girlfriend. Brody starts to experience mental breakdowns as he begins having hallucinations. There wasn't word on whether or not this would affect gameplay.
The magazine expands on the antagonists who appear to be a bit "unstable" themselves, as are your allies throughout the game. The main theme for Far Cry 3 would seem to be mental health.
Apparently the magazine was shown two different demos for the game, one which showed the different stealth assaults present through the game. The other demo showed the main character escaping from a sinking ship.
The magazine also suggested that the demos showed a bit of an "open-world" aspect.
Far Cry 3 is due out sometime this year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
