Dead Island Gets Mega Patch, Fixes PC Issues

Deep Silver have released a giant patch for their freshly-debuted title, Dead Island, that supposedly fixes some of the game's major bugs.

The patch fixes the issue that players were having with the Steam version of the game. Apparently the wrong version of the game was uploaded to the PC service and users were downloading the developer's build of the Xbox 360 version instead of the correct Steam one.
“We deeply regret that an incorrect version of Dead Island was inadvertently made available to players on Steam launch in North America,” Deep Silver said in a statement to Joystiq. “We are very sorry for any issues you may have experienced while playing the game – the correct, patched version will be made available to North American players ASAP.”
Other territories will get the corrected patch on Friday.
