L.A. Noire Reaches The 900,000 Mark
According to Arvind Bhatia of the analyst group Strene Agee, L.A. Noire has now sold over 900,000 copies in the US in the month of May.
What's even more unfathomable is that the game is still trailing Rockstar's other mega-hit Red Dead Redemption by nearly 40%.
Bhatia stated that in the same time frame when RDR was released it moved nearly 1.5 million units.
“RDR has sold through 8.5M units life-to-date,” said Bhatia. “We have assumed L.A. Noire will sell 3.4 to 4 million units in its life or 50 to 60 percent below RDR. In other words, the sales trajectory for L.A. Noire (-40% versus RDR) in its first month is right in line with, if not slightly above, our assumptions.”
