Two Soundtracks Revealed For L.A. Noire

As Rockstar gears up for the upcoming release of their crime-thriller title, L.A. Noire, they've also revealed that two different soundtracks will be available from the game.

Both soundtracks will be available on May 17 via iTunes.

The L.A. Noire Official Soundtrack was inspired by the 1940's cinematic experience, with grand sweeping orchestral scores. The music was composed by Andrew Hale, who has also worked with Sade and Sweetback, and recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios.

Rockstar explains that some of the songs from that era will be featured on the soundtrack but have been reinterpreted for modern listening. The publisher also revealed that Woody Jackson, of Red Dead Redemption soundtrack lore, contributed to the soundtrack.

The other soundtrack, L.A. Noire Remixed, contains six jazz pieces that have been remixed by some of today's hottest DJ's.

L.A. Noire is out next week, May 17 in the US and May 20 everywhere else on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
