The latest issue of the the magazine Dengeki Playstation has dished some new details for the upcoming title, Dark Souls.

The following has been translated by NeoGAF, in an interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki:

- The Dark Souls team received a lot of feedback from Demon's Souls. Miyazaki said he's eager to be working on a game that's so highly anticipated by a large number of people. The game is in the final stages of development.

- Dark Souls will not be a narrative driven RPG but it does have a story. The plot revolves around the main character, who is an "undying" who comes back to life after being killed.

- A new Oath system has been put into place, the system will determine the player's position and will alter your interaction with other players online. What this means is that while you play through the game and explore the world you will run into NPC's in which you will have to make an "Oath" to, these interactions are important and some of them can be extremely rare.

- Miyazaki also touched on the importance of healing items in RPG's. He said that this importance took a full role in how they developed the game.

- The director said that Dark Souls will be a pretty hard game to get through but he feels that the harder the game the more validity it will have over time.

Developer From Software has said that the game will last about 60 hours, although no DLC or a demo is being discussed for the game.

Dark Souls is out later this year for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
