Duke Nukem Forever Multiplayer Gets Detailed

A feature from the Official Xbox Magazine has leaked online detailing Duke Nukem Forever's multiplayer modes.

Scans taken from the magazine depict that there will be four different modes. A maximum of eight players taking part in in a 4 vs. 4 mode with each player wearing either a red or blue shirt to show which team they are on.

The modes; Dukematch, Team Dukematch, Capture the Babe, and Hail to the King.

In Capture the Babe, the "Babe" takes the place of your usual flag in a location and one team must take the lady and one team must defend her. Hail to the King is your typical King of the Hill mode where one team must control different locations at the same time for a limited amount of time to win.

According to the magazine, there will be 10 maps for the multiplayer at launch. One map is "Morning Wood", an old-west style map. Another map is a remake of Dukeburger which features a bunch of little Duke's running around. If you're shrunk in this map you will still be able to use your weapons but damage will be diminished to 10%.

A jetpack will make an appearance in some of the multiplayer maps but won't be used in the single-player faction of the game. Some confirmed weapons for the multiplayer include; a pistol, shotgun, a ripper chaingun, pipebomb, rpg, shrinker, railgun, freezer, devestator, and trip-bomb.

Duke Nukem Forever is out on May 3 in the US and May 6 in the UK for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
