THQ Planning North Korean Protest Over Homefront
THQ is planning a protest of their upcoming shooter, Homefront, by North Korea in order to promote the game.
The protest is planned to take place at GDC this weekend in San Francisco, according to SF Weekly. The protesters will be marching across the Golden Gate bridge, down the streets of San Francisco, and ending in front of the Yerba Buena Gardens, which sits across the street from where GDC will be held.
We should stress, this is a staged event put together by THQ, publisher for Homefront, which sees an invasion by an allied Korean force of the U.S.
The protest will feature "North Korea's human rights violations," and apparently features "speeches by global experts, musical performances, and the launch of 10,000 balloons."
Silly THQ, always with the planned protesting and balloons.
