L.A. Noire's Attention To Detail Is Incredible

Team Bondi has detailed their upcoming crime drama title, L.A. Noire, with even more details.

Detailed details, that's why we love Rockstar.

Simon Wood, production designer on L.A. Noire, recently revealed the secrets behind recreating a 1940's Los Angeles;
“We created ‘Production Bibles’ which are like production design style guides for all the locations in the game,” he said.

“The bibles have floorplans, material, dressing, graphics and signage, lighting details, and any other reference images that are needed to create the locations in the game. We made over 140 of them altogether.”
Wood also stated that Team Bondi spent a large amount of time on location in L.A. studying buildings including the ultra-famous Barclay Hotel.
“Ben photographed every square inch of that hotel,” Wood recalled.
Team Bondi also revealed that the developer and the largest costume maker in Hollywood teamed up to shoot multiple characters at each 140 locations.

L.A. Noire is out on May 17 in the US and May 20 in Europe for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
