New Hampshire Medical Servers Hacked To Play Black Ops
During a mid-November security crash of the Seacoast Radiology Center medical servers in New Hampshire, it's been revealed that the servers were hacked to play Call of Duty: Black Ops.
According to The Register, apparently the servers housed more than 230,000 patients' names, social security numbers, addresses, diagnosis codes, and other personal information. The Radiology Center has warned their patients to look for signs of identity theft.
The firm ID Experts was hired by the Radiology Center to investigate the intrusions. The firm tracked the hackers IP addresses to Scandinavia. ID Experts reinforced the server's firewall and all has been fixed.
Hopefully these hackers were just on a Black Ops binge and not out to cause real damage.
