Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 Gets Face Lift

A little more than a year ago, one of the world's most popular sports figures and certainly the world's most popular golfers, Tiger Woods, went through a rough patch in his life. His marriage fell apart and police were called to his home in Orlando, FL. Since then, we've found out that Tiger is a bit of a man whore.

Tiger's sponsorships dwindled, but not Electronic Arts. EA reiterated their faith in Tiger and pledged that they would support their all-star athlete in the future. His video game is still amongst the most popular sports titles available, but EA has chosen to give the game a facelift.

The game will now bare the name Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, with Tiger's name taking a backseat to "The Masters". The Masters, arguably the sports most popular and prestigious tournament, should bring in new fans of the game and appease those golf fans that were not too pleased with Tiger's transgressions.

EA apparently used "state of the art laser scanning technology" to duplicate Augusta National's golf course to perfection. You will be able to replay "Masters Moments", which will take you to some of the more memorable moments form tournaments past. You will also be able to play "Tiger at the Masters" mode which will take you to each of Tiger's four Masters victories by allowing you to replay them and match or best his scores. Create a golfer mode returns this year and will allow your created person to ascend the golfing ranks.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters will be out on the PS3 (with Move support), Xbox 360, and Wii March 29 in North America and will have a worldwide release on April 1.
