Battle-Top Roguelite 'Slayblade' Rips on to Steam shortly

After its recent virality during its demo launch, Melbourne and Perth-based developer Henry's House are excited to share that their upcoming battle-top roguelite game Slayblade will be launching for PC (via Steam) on August 20, 2026.

Slayblade is a physics roguelite that lets you build your battle-top and become King of the Streets! Collect 60+ parts, merge their powers, and dominate opponents in a chill roguelite!

Slayblade is set in a vibrant Y2K city, letting players skate around winning cash and upgrades on their way to the top. And if you die in the game, you die in real life (probably not).

"Slayblade was meant to be a small game, for a small audience, for a small price point. We were blown away by how many people watched the trailer and wishlisted it on Steam," said Oscar, the game's director. "But we were so inspired by the reception that we decided we had a DUTY to make the best damn spinning top game in town!"

Henry's House's small project has since skyrocketed to 92,000 wishlists on Steam. This has come as a big surprise to the team, as they had endeavoured to keep development costs down to only $15,000.

Slayblade will be launching for PC (via Steam) on August 20, 2026, for $6 USD, with a two-week 15% launch discount.
