Cover athlete revealed for NBA 2K24
2K Sports have announced that 18-time All-Star, five-time NBA World Champion, two-time Finals MVP, two-time Olympic Gold Medallist and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant will be this year’s cover athlete for the special NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition and Black Mamba Edition.
The Kobe Bryant Edition (cover above) will be available for $99.95 AUD / $109.95 NZD on PS4 and Xbox One, $89.95 AUD / $99.95 NZD on NSW and PC, and $119.95 AUD / $109.95 NZD on PS5 and XBX|S
The Black Mamba Edition (cover below) will be available for $159.95 AUD / $169.95 NZD on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, XBX|S, NSW and PC.
Additionally, NBA 2K is celebrating 25 years of the top-rated and top-selling basketball video game of all-time with a brand new 25th Anniversary Edition, available for a limited time at $235.95 AUD / $249.95 NZD and includes a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass, a Summer League Pre-Order Bonus and much more.
NBA 2K24 brings a series of new advancements and modes including:
● NBA 2K24 will launch with crossplay for PS5 and XBX|S.
● In honour of Kobe returning to the NBA 2K cover, players can celebrate his legacy and channel their inner-Mamba mentality in the brand-new Mamba Moments mode. Recreate some of Kobe's most captivating performances and progress through his transcendent journey from a young phenom to one of the greatest players of all time.
● NBA 2K24 will introduce ProPLAY, a groundbreaking new technology that directly translates NBA footage into gameplay and delivers animations and movements via on-court NBA action for a generational leap in authenticity on PS5 and XBX|S. 2K will also unveil that WNBA All-Star, NCAA all-time triple-doubles leader and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu will grace the cover of the franchise's third NBA 2K24 WNBA Edition, a GameStop exclusive only in the U.S. and Canada.
Lastly, for returning fans of NBA 2K23, players can now complete a MyTEAM Triple Threat Challenge game against three different eras of Kobe, to earn special rewards in NBA 2K23 and NBA 2K24, available starting Saturday, July 8 to Tuesday, August 29 at 4:59 p.m. PST.
