Poker Hacker Gets Jailtime

Ashley Mitchell, a hacker from Britain, broke into gaming giant Zynga's systems, making out with nearly $12 million worth of virtual chips, or so he though.

Mitchell, 29, hacked into Zynga's systems, stealing the identity of two employees and transferring himself the 400 billion chips. Mitchell then sold the chips to other people who play Zynga's poker game through Facebook.

Though reports show that Mitchell has made just over the equivalent of $87,000 after selling a third of the chips, Zynga is claiming its loss at $12 million. Mitchell's defense says he has not been able to enjoy much of those earnings due to his own personal gambling addictions.

Now convicted, Mitchell's sentence is set at around two years.
