Bethesda announce Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
Bethesda has announced a prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order at this year’s Game Developers Conference. The expansion-sized Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is set in alternative 1946, where the Nazis are on the brink of victory in World War II. Like New Order, the prequel looks to be an over-the-top, even campy, revenge shooter.
The gameplay trailer, edited in a pulpy post-WW2 style, shows American muscle-man Blazkowicz infiltrating a gothic keep built into the side of a snow-capped mountain. The Nazis were a predictable bunch! There’s also plenty of brutal assassinations, miniguns, and even a cable-car action set-piece reminiscent of the 1968 film “Where Eagles Dare”.

The Old Blood will cost £15 and be released on May, 5. Check out the video trailer below.
