RockBand VR announced
Harmonix, developers of the Rock Band games are making a VR game.
The developer revealed Rock Band VR today during The Game Awards, a version of the rhythm game for the virtual reality device Oculus Rift. Harmonix only revealed a 2016 release date. The Oculus Rift comes in the first quarter of 2016.
The trailer showed developer Harmonix working with DragonForce, the band responsible for the infamously difficult song “Through the Fire and Flames.” It was mostly a live-action but did feature some gameplay. See the trailer below.
Rock Band 4 came out earlier this year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Rock Band VR is set to release sometime in 2016.
