Combining first-person exploration with wonderfully choreographed narration, Gone Home challenges both convention and trope. To explain the game is to spoil it, but what first appears to be a ghost story soon reveals itself to be a beautifully touching experience that is at once deeply resonant and nostalgic for the time-lost 1990s. Gone Home is a game with heart, as much a case for games as art as it is a great way to spend three hours.
