New Ghost of Sparta Details

New Ghost of Sparta Details
Kotaku has found out a few new facts about the upcoming PSP game, God of War: Ghost of Sparta. First of all, they were told it was 25-30% longer than Chains of Olympus. This is a very good thing as I finished it in 4 hours on my first play through (I really shouldn't have done it on easy).

As well as that, it will push the PSP's processors very hard and will be able to handle nine enemies at once, compared to four previously. More enemies means more things to kill which is always nice. Finally, quick time events will appear on the sides of the screen like in God of War III (Buttons will appear at the side corresponding to the controller. Triangle appearing at the top and Square appearing at the right) rather than above enemies.

Expect to see God of War: Ghost of Sparta released this holiday season exclusively on the PSP.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Pre-Order Bonus Revealed

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Pre-Order Bonus Revealed
Square Enix has revealed the pre-order bonus you'll receive for laying down some money to reserve your copy of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on the PSP.

It's not some fancy in-game collectible or a nice in-game weapon, hell, a cool looking poster would have sufficed...instead Square is giving us a PSP "Kingdom Hearts" themed sticker. When you pre-order at any major video game retailer (GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy) you can make your PSP match that hippie lady's car across the street.

See the stick above.

Tactics Ogre Being Remade For PSP

Tactics Ogre Being Remade For PSP
Square Enix has announced, via the article in the Japanese magazine Famitsu, that they will be remaking the title, Tactics Ogre, for the PSP. The title will apparently be done by the original developing staff that created Tactics Ogre: Let Us Stick Together. The new title will be Tactics Ogre: Wheel Of Fortune (where's Pat Sajack when you need him?).

Yasumi Matsuno will be directing the remake, he was the director for a brief time on Final Fantasy XII (before leaving that project) and he was also the director of Madworld.

The game is being updated with new designs, new characters, storyline elements, and a whole new battle system. You will be able to have up to 12 party members and battle up to 18 enemies all at once.

First Ghost Recon: Predator Details

First Ghost Recon: Predator Details
The ESRB has outed the first details from the upcoming PSP title, Ghost Recon: Predator. The game has not officially been announced, but has been rated "Teen" by the US video game ratings system.

Here's the full ESRB listing:
This is an action game/third-person shooter in which players engage in combat missions as part of an elite military unit. Players use a variety of machine guns, sniper rifles, grenades, and explosives to infiltrate hostile compounds and kill enemies. Gun fights are depicted realistically, with loud gun sound effects, large explosions, and characters that yell in pain when hit. Gunshots result in splashes or small clouds of red blood that disappear quickly. Characters use the words "sh*t," "b*tch," and "a*s" in the dialogue.
So there you go, don't say we didn't warn you.

New PSP Ads Feature Marcus Rivers

New PSP Ads Feature Marcus Rivers
Sony has launched a couple of new television advertisements for the PSP handheld system featuring funny kid, Marcus Rivers. Rivers, which is the name that Sony gave him for these ads, real name is Bobb'e Thompson. You might recognize Thompson from the recent movie Role Models in which he plays a fouled mouth troubled youth. I thought he was hilarious.

The new videos are part of Sony's "Step Your Game Up" campaign for the PSP, which are being launched over on the PS Blog. Sony has also given Rivers his own YouTube channel, which you can subscribe to here.
