Sony Confirms No PS4 At E3 2012
Sony has officially put to death rumors that they will be unveiling the PlayStation 4 at E3 2012 in June, after the internet has run rampant with rumors on the contrary.
SCE's upcoming-president Kaz Hirai did the debunking at CES 2012 in Las Vegas stating,
“Andy (House) is absolutely right in that we are not making any announcements at E3,” he said.
“I’ve always said a 10-year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that.”
Websites have taken it upon themselves to post any "Tom, Dick, and Harry" rumor that comes their way regarding next-generation hardware and their reveal. “I’ve always said a 10-year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that.”
The PlayStation 3 just matured into the console we all hoped and knew it would, why would Sony go away from it? Hirai is right in one regard, the PS3 was built to last 10 years, that's evident.
Take my suggestion, enjoy the hardware you have before you have to shell out money to replace it.
