David Jaffe Talks Twisted Metal
Eat Sleep Play bossman David Jaffe has likened his upcoming Twisted Metal title to an aerial combat game.
Speaking with the US PS Blog, Jaffe said,
“Every time we start a Twisted Metal, Scott and I are like, ‘Hey, man, let’s do realistic cars’, and it’s a disaster, mainly because this is more like fighter jets."
“They happen to look like cars, but they’re like [beeped] fighter jets. You’re doing a lot of jousting and then when you’re both on the offence, and then when you’re on the defence you want to get out of there really fast.”
“It’s a shooter, it’s not a racer."
Jaffe envisions this Twisted Metal title as a party game where you can sit down and just pick up the controllers and play. “They happen to look like cars, but they’re like [beeped] fighter jets. You’re doing a lot of jousting and then when you’re both on the offence, and then when you’re on the defence you want to get out of there really fast.”
