Turbine Taking Over LotR Online From Codemasters In Europe
Turbine and Codemasters have jointly announced that Lord of the Rings Online operations in Europe will shift from Codemasters to Turbine.
June 1 will be the date that control is switched over between the two developers.
Turbine has confirmed the switch also announcing that North American operations and European operations will rolled into one, called "LOTRO Global Service".
Of course, when the switch happens there will be some downtime and existing customers with a Codemasters account will have to convert over to a Turbine account.
Lord of the Rings Online has been free-to-play since September of last year.
