Your Shape: Fitness Evolved Sequel Inbound
The inevitable sequel to Ubisoft's Kinect fitness game was announced today, along with a pretty lofty goal on Ubisoft's part.
The game was said to be boasting expanded community features, but not much else was shown. The reveal trailer showed exactly what would be expected: that a new Your Shape is coming out. The exercises shown all looked like more of the same, though I expect some new ones will make it into the sequel to, you know, justify the investment for owners of the first.
Part of the aforementioned "expanded community features" appears to include community-wide or group-made goals. Ubisoft capped off the trailer by sharing their goal: to tally one billion calories burned in total, starting with the release of Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012. An offhanded comment before the trailer implied that a goal like "run around the world" is an example of something a player could attempt.
More details should come soon, as the game is set for a November release.
