Next generation consoles are pumping out games with mind blowing graphics and ground breaking game play. However, with all these advanced games, like Call of Duty: Black Ops or Infamous 2, some long for simpler games that hearken back to Nintendo and arcade classics like Super Mario Brothers, Mega Man, and Metal Slug. If retro games are your forte than the following online games may be up your alley.

I never thought I'd live to see the day, but a new Jagged Alliance game is in the making and will be available in Q4 of 2011. More precisely, Jagged Alliance: Reloaded has been renamed to Jagged Alliance: Back in Action and found a publisher in Kalypso.

Ever wanted to check the latest gaming news on your phone, only to find that any full blown website is nearly impossible to navigate? It seems things are taking a turn for the worse for Nintendo.
The company reported a net loss of 2 billion yen (or $25 million) over the first 6 months of 2010, citing vastly reduced sales of both hard- and software as well as an expensive yen as the primary culprits.

Australian gamers will have a chance to play Duke Nukem Forever this weekend. Gearbox and the Mana Bar are organizing a a hands-on event that is open to the general public on Saturday the 16th. Of course the chances are that you'll be queuing up three blocks away from Mana Bar's Brisbane venue, so I would leave early if I were you. Oh, and while you're there, we're all out of the juice, so if you can pick up a few bottle's of blue, it would be much appreciated.

RealTime World's financial woes. The company was said to be laying off the entire staff working on their freshly announced game MyWorld. Word just reached us that this was not enough to save the studio.
Today, employees of RealTime Worlds were told that the company is closing and that its 170 staff still on the payroll no longer had a job. The fate of All Points Bulletin is currently unknown.
APB's launch had a luke-warm reception at best, with the gaming press awarding the game with mediocre scores across the board.
