Borderlands 2 Officially Announced, Full Reveal At Gamescom
Following the rumors, 2K Games have now officially announced Borderlands 2 which is set for a 2012 release.
Gearbox's FPS/RPG hybrid was well received when it was released back in 2009, and many fans have been expecting a sequel to be announced sometime soon. Well, today is that day for all of you believers! 2K games have now officially announced a sequel, cleverly titled Borderlands 2. The game is set to be revealed at this year's Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Our team will be heading on down to bring you our impressions, so stick around for that between 16-18th August.

Gearbox is introducing new and more diverse environments, smarter and more powerful enemies, and an improved mission system capable of delivering a better story.
Borderlands 2 is headed to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC during the next fiscal year, which begins on April 1st, 2012.
