GoldenEye 007 was undoubtedly one of the best games on the N64, if not the best first person shooter on the system. With this new release it may seem like Activision is merely capitalizing on nostalgia, but that is far from true. GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is more than just an HD upgrade with trophies – it takes the original game and remakes it with new scenarios, new graphics, a new story and, most importantly, a new James Bond.

We had the opportunity to talk to Dino Verano, Associate Producer at Activision, at this year’s NY Comic Con. Watch the video for some brand new multiplayer footage as well as what makes this GoldenEye 007 so different from its predecessor.

For those of you too lazy to watch the video, there are some things you should know. The jump from Wii to PS3/360 means that the game now outputs at 1080p and a smooth 60fps. Four-player local multiplayer makes a triumphant return, with the expansion of online multiplayer to 16 players. Bruce Feirstein, one of the writers of the original GoldenEye, helped with the script. And you can still play as Oddjob.
