Kickstarter to offer Elite: Dangerous fiction in audio and print format
At the end of 2012, Frontier Developments carried through a successful Kickstarter campaign to develop the fourth Elite game: Elite: Dangerous. The Kickstarter campaign got plenty of press time not only for itself, but for the numerous mini-Kickstarters that surrounded it: in order to be able to write official fiction for the Elite Universe, many authors turned to crowdfunding to acquire the necessary licenses.
Now, the publisher of a number of these book projects, Fantastic Books Publishing, has kicked off another Kickstarter - this time to produce audio books of the novels. The campaign also includes access to special hardcover prints of the books. In less than a day, the campaign is already off to a great start!
