Hush-Hush 229 Launches Kickstarter
As a huge Metal Gear fan, I've always wondered what it would be like to witness a Metal Gear game from the perspective of Otacan, Mei Ling, Rose, or Para-Medic; the person you trust with saving your progress. Now, in an interesting concept, a Kickstarter has launched for a visual novel, where you play as the Save Date Analyst. Inspired by both Metal Gear and Quentin Tarantino's films, developer and artist Brigid Allison's game, will have you assisting two agents on a tactical mission by saving the game, helping them through emotional trauma, guiding them through surveillance camera, and more.
Allison has worked on other games including, YIIK: A Postermodern RPG. The Hush-Hush 229 Kickstarter is asking for a flat $20,000 in order to make the game, with no stretch goals in mind at this time. Where the money is all going is broken down by percentage very specifically on the Kickstarter. Looking through the descriptions, the Metal Gear influence is palpable and if that interests you half as much as it does me, go ahead and check it out. In the interest of openness, I should say that I have put down money to fund Hush-Hush 229.
