Bethesda Announces Phones that Will Fit into Fallout 4 Pip-Boy
Fallout 4's Pip-Boy has been a hot pre-order item since it's announcement. The life-size Pip-Boy replica that players can pre-order was announced alongside a Fallout 4 companion app that will be on iOS and Android stores. The companion app acts as your Pip-Boy screen, allowing you to manage items, health, the radio, and more directly from your phone or tablet. With the Pip-Boy replica, players can insert their phone and recreate the total Pip-Boy experience.
Now Bethesda has announced the phones that will actually fit into the replica: iPhone 6, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 4/4s, Samsung Galaxy S4, and the Samsung Galaxy S5. The largest phone is the Samsung Galaxy S5, which measures to 5.3-inches by 2.25-inches. That means iPhone 6+ and Galaxy Note users will be out of luck, along with anyone who dreamed of using their tablet.
The companion app will be released the same day as Fallout 4, November 10th, and will be sold on both Android and iOS stores.
