New IPs Coming From Square Enix
Earlier this month, Square Enix President, Yosuke Matsuda, spoke on the company's plans going forward. Matsuda said they'll be strengthening old IPs, while attempting new IPs to keep their games fresh.
"I cannot disclose much at this moment," he said, "but we are working on various initiatives, including some experimental projects."
Matsuda said Square Enix plans to show off several new games at their "private conference at the next E3", which may be translation error, given that they have a public conference at E3 on June 16th at 10 am. This will be their first E3 conference since 2012.
The Company President also talked about their upcoming titles, including a new Hitman project, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and Final Fantasy XV. When asked about Oculus and other VR projects, Matsuda said Square Enix is "monitoring [these trends] with great interest, and considering various initiatives."
