Hulu Picks Up Series Based on Myst
The announcement for the Myst series came last year, when Cyan Worlds and Legendary Entertainment collaborated and agreed to try and make a series based on the 1991 PC game. No news has come forth until now.
According to Deadline, after an intense bidding war, Hulu picked up the Myst series. Hulu is supposedly eager for new and original content on there website. Sources at deadline went on to say that Hulu and all parties agreed that Myst would be script to series show. This means that as soon as the script is approved the series would begin production, as apposed to a series that has a pilot episode.
At this point, the Myst series is going to be written by Evan Daugherty. Daugherty wrote for the Divergent movie and the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Daugherty is also going to be writing the new Tomb Raider movie.
Though this is more progress, it certainly does not guarantee that the series will go through.
