Wadjet Eye officially announce Technobabylon
It's hardly been much of a secret, given that they announced it at the recent AdventureX conference, and they've been talking about it on Twitter for even longer, but Wadjet Eye have now officially confirmed that they are working with English developers Technocrat games on a new title - Technobabylon.
Alright, it's not entirely new. The Technobabylon name was also used for a series of free, interconnected adventures made by Technocrat over several years. They were well received, so it's hardly a surprise that the concept was picked up by Wadjet Eye for further development.
Technobabylon takes place in a dystopian cyberpunk future where genetic engineering is the norm, the addictive Trance has replaced almost any need for human interaction, and an omnipresent AI named Central powers the city. Its all-seeing CEL police force keeps tabs on everyone... including three people who are about to meet their maker.
The new teaser trailer details one of the three playable characters - Dr. Charlie Regis, a geneticist and Case Specialist for the police force.
There's no specific date set for when we'll be able to get our hands on it, but adventure fans can expect to see much more of Technobabylon in the months leading up to release some time this spring.
