Stranded on Steam
New to Steam is Stranded by Curve Studios, the London-based makers of the very strange Proteus. Like that earlier title, Stranded is more an 'experience' than a full-length game, but it certainly seems a bit more cohesive and, er... game-like.
A love letter to classic point and click adventure games, Stranded is an immersive experience that allows the player the freedom to discover the story behind the games mysterious environment free from objectives and statistics.
There's a delightfully retro aesthetic, and a promising storyline, but initial reports suggest you shouldn't expect any more than an hour of gameplay. If that's okay by you, and if you're a fan of point-and-click adventures, or just a bit of a sci-fi nut, you'll definitely want to take a look.
Stranded is available now on the Steam store, and owners of Proteus or Waking Mars should have received a 20% discount voucher.
