'Battlefield 4' about human interaction, war is secondary
Karl Magnus Troedsson, DICE GM, recently stated that the upcoming shooter Battlefield 4 is more about human interaction than it is about war.
In an interview with OXM, Troedsson stated Battlefield 4 will be about exploring the human side of war and not war itself.
“While it made sound “cliché or [like] a bullet-point phrase, it’s something that the team are really living by,” he said, “as opposed to trying to tell a story solely about a huge war, geo-politics, what’s going on around the world.
“That will be there in the background, but that’s not what this game is about.”
Battlefield 4 will also contain social elements to make the single player aspect less of a "lone wolf experience". “That will be there in the background, but that’s not what this game is about.”
Battlefield 4 is out this fall.
