'Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain' round-up
Hideo Kojima and Konami revealed the next Metal Gear Solid title yesterday at GDC, as the fifth installment in the franchise The Phantom Pain.
The trailer was released to much fanfare as we actually saw bits and pieces of the title back at the Spike TV VGA's last year. The game uses the new video game engine FOX and will be open world. Kojima stated that Metal Gear Solid 5 is really Metal Gear Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain mixed together to create one awesome game.
Kiefer Sutherland will be voicing a comrade to Snake in the game, but the title largely takes place after Snake awakes from a nine year coma. He's lost most of his abilities and has to escape the hospital he's being kept in. The gameplay that was shown was said to be running on the PC.
