'Metro: Last Light' development didn't suffer because of THQ sale

According to a studio rep, 4A Games didn't lose too much time developing Metro: Last Light when the IP was sold to Deep Silver from THQ.

In a recent interview with VG247, Deep Silver's global brand manager Huw Beyon stated that the only reason the game was delayed a bit after the sale was due to more increased paperwork and formalities.
“Obviously the release date has been pushed back a little bit as the studio re-engages with a new publisher and tries to figure out QA, submissions and all the stuff you have to do behind the scenes,” he said.

“We’ve not lost too much time on the development of the game, and it’s essentially going to be the same product we planned to release in March. We’re just really excited it’s not been too traumatic for the studio, and I am confident that when the game comes out it’s going to be great.

“I’m just really glad we can be showing it again and hopefully reassure people it’s coming soon.”
Metro: Last Light is out on May 14.
