Rumor: Ubisoft plotting THQ bid
According to an interesting new rumor, Ubisoft may be planning on bidding for some of THQ's studios and IPs.
Sources close to MCV say that Ubisoft is planning on bidding for the THQ IPs of Saints Row, Darksiders, Company of Heroes, Red Faction, Homefront, and WWE.
MCV states that the two publishers are currently negotiating a deal but Ubisoft is holding out for the lowest price possible. If Ubisoft is successful they would own those current IPs and be free to develop which ever ones they choose. Could you imagine Darksiders at the hands of Ubisoft?
For now this all rumor, but MCV is usually spot on when it comes to these sorts of things. We'll keep you in the news.
