'Curiosity' PC version may not happen
According to Curiosity creator Peter Molyneux the game's PC version may not happen and he's asking for cash donations to battle server issues.
Eurogamer is reporting that the 22 Cans website has added a PayPal donations button with the following statement;
“We are a small independent developer and due to popular demand we now offer the option for kind people to donate, so that we can make Curiosity the best possible experience it can be. However big or small the donation; it will really help us make Curiosity better.”
Molyneux has also stated that server issues have caused layers disappearing, lag issues, fatal crashes, and gamers losing their earned coins. Speaking with Rock, Paper, Shotgun Molyneux stated that the PC version of Curiosity is in doubt because of the team's attention to the heckling server issues wreaking havoc on the development team.
“We would love to do a PC version, but we are currently snowed under by the number of people using the Curiosity experiment (coming up to one million ) in a few days. This is pushing our servers to the limit. We are currently all surviving on less than three hours sleep a night. I guess if we could find a publisher who could take on the work of a PC version we could consider it.”
