Zynga to enter the online gambling business
Struggling social video games developer Zynga is reportedly set to start offering real-money gambling titles, in partnership with bwin.party.
According to Gamasutra, Zynga's first real-money title will be a Farmville-themed slots game, which is expected to launch early 2013. According to Zynga's chief financial officer David Wehner said that the partnership is a first step into real money gaming and a large opportunity for Zynga.
Last week it was reported that Zynga laid off more than a hundred employees and closed several of their smaller studios. We'll see if this makes a difference in their next financial report.
