Beartrap Games formed by ex-Cohort Scottish developers
Ex-Cohort developers have teamed up to form new Scottish studio Beartrap Games.
The studio was formed by Fin McGechie, Gordon McLean and Grant Alexande; all former Cohort Studios heads. According to a report over at GI.biz, only four positions have been revealed for the studio; creative director Fin McGechie, technical director Gordon McLean, marketing director Grant Alexander and freelance sound designer James Scanlon.
Said Grant Alexander;
“This is a very exciting time for the new company. Although it is very early days, we have been overwhelmed by the support given by individuals from both the games industry and public bodies.”
He added, “As well as developing our own IP and concepts, we are focused on finding projects and partners to work with. We are in a great position to be able to grow quickly and can consider a project of any size.”

The Scottish video games industry certainly seems to be booming. We'll keep you posted on the studio's first IP.
