'Assassin's Creed III - The Tyranny of King Washington' gets detailed
Ubisoft have let loose some details regarding Assassin's Creed III's first real big DLC, The Tyranny of King Washington.
The DLC will be available to those of you who purchase the game's season pass. The DLC will tell the alternate-history version of what really happened during the American Revolution.
Here's the synopsis:
“It’s 1783. As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, George Washington, the greatest hero of the revolution, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land, our new hero Connor must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.”
Along with the new campaign missions, Tyranny will feature new maps and characters for the multiplayer aspect of the game. “History is our playground, and Assassin’s Creed teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period.” said Sebastien Puel, executive producer at Ubisoft.
“While Assassin’s Creed 3 concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”
The DLC is scheduled to launch within six months of Assassin's Creed III being out.
