CD Projekt Thinks Gamers Shouldn't Have To Pay For 'Small' DLC

According to developers CD Projekt RED gamers shouldn't have to pay for "small" packs of downloadable content if they're investing hours upon hours drudging through a campaign.

In a recent MCV Pacific interview Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, who is the lead quest designer for The Witcher 2, said you shouldn't have to pay for the small DLC packs that contain individual items.
“I think all of the smaller DLCs should be free,” he said.

“In my opinion, you shouldn’t pay for such small packs for to the game. I have no problem with buying an add-on to a game which adds a lot of hours of gameplay and a lot of new content, like expansions used to be in the past.

But small DLCs, such as individual items – a customer shouldn’t be forced to pay for that.”
The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings hits the Xbox 360 next month.
