Report: Bethesda & Interplay Reach Settlement In Fallout Online Suit
According to surfacing reports it appears that the Bethesda and Interplay legal battle may be coming to a close.
About a week ago the Fallout Wikia posted some new details regarding the court predicament. The details listed was a partial transcript leak from a December 12 hearing in which some wrangling over a piece of Interplay evidence, a Wiki site for the game, was brought into question.
Duck and Cover has now posted up their confirmation that the two parties have reached a settlement in the matter. No other details were made known but it is expected that the two factions will each make an announcement some time this month.
Fallout Online has been in jeopardy ever since Bethesda sued Interplay for copyright infringement when Interplay began developing the Fallout MMO. It should be noted that Interplay was the original rights owners and has been claiming financial hardships ever since they were first served with injunctions by Bethesda.
