Rumor: Battlefield 3 Set To Release On Steam

New evidence has surfaced to suggest that EA and Valve have put their differences behind them and allowing DICE's Battlefield 3 to release on the streaming PC gaming network in the near future.

According to this Steam forum user the Punkbuster PC installation files suggest that a Steam PC release for the war-time shooter is very near.

The other little bit of evidence would be this contest held by Sapphire Technology awarding the winner a copy of the game on Steam to the winner.

EA and Valve have been "beefing" over releasing Battlefield 3 on Steam due to the PC streaming game service's terms of service, amongst other things. The game is currently out now for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
