Star Wars: The Old Republic Launch To Be Staggered
BioWare has stated that in all likeliness the launch of their upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic will be staggered in different regions.
According to Gamefront the developer plans on staggering the game's launch to allow certain players to opportunity to play the game first before the game gets really bogged down.
The pre-order bonuses that were announced for the game, such as what was to be included in the game's Collector's Edition, have already been sold out. Those same pre-orders, for now, are limited to the US and Europe and BioWare has already stated that they can not commit to the availability of the pre-orders in other regions.
However, BioWare's community manager Stephen Reid recently said on Twitter that the can will not be region locked. Meaning you could possibly buy the game from a US retailer and then play it in Australia or New Zealand or Russia or the Arctic Circle.
BioWare still has not announced a release date for the much anticipated title.
