New Final Fantasy Versus XIII Details
Some new details regarding Square Enix upcoming title, Final Fantasy Versus XIII have emerged in the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu.
The game's director Tetsuya Nomura has apparently apologized for the game taking so long to come to fruition and has also promised more updates in the near future. Nomura stated that the game's cut scenes are inspired by many successful shooters and they won't break up the gameplay much at all. The cut scenes will be player controlled to a degree and will resemble quick time events.
Final Fantasy long-time developer Takeshi Nozue has joined the Versus XIII development team to work on the graphics. His main focus will be the game's lighting engine. The Japanese magazine claims to have seen three screenshots from the game and doubted that they were real due to how high quality they were.
Nomura stated that players will have the ability to take in-game screenshots at any time using one of the main character's camera phone. The magazine was unsure if this portion of the game will be used as a mobile mini-game or not.
There is still no release date for Versus XIII.
